Cambrai Memorial

 

 

Cambrai Memorial, Louverval, France, commemorates 7,042 servicemen of the United Kingdom and South Africa who died in the Battle of Cambrai in November and December 1917 and whose graves are not known. The Memorial stands on a terrace above the Louverval Military Cemetery.

Four men of the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons Service Squadron, Privates Christopher McWilliams, Henry Orr, Samuel Price and William James Turkington are commemorated here. The location of their names on the memorial panels is shown on the CWGC cemetery and memorial plan below.
