This page shows all officers and other ranks of the North Irish Horse who died as a result of the war and are commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Included are all officers posted to, and men who enlisted in, the North Irish Horse or its predecessor the North of Ireland Imperial Yeomanry from 1902 to 1918, regardless of which regiment they were serving in at the time of their death.

Also included are officers and men from other regiments who were attached to a unit of the North Irish Horse at the time of their death (for example, Army Service Corps Driver Matthew Callanan, who was killed while attached to A Squadron, North Irish Horse). This includes those attached to the NIH reserve depot at Antrim and the five NIH squadrons that served in France and Belgium as GHQ escort, divisional and corps cavalry and corps cyclists.

Casualties of the 6th Inniskilling Dragoons (Service Squadron), which was attached to the 2nd North Irish Horse Regiment from June 1916 to September 1917, are not included in this list, as they maintained a separate regimental identity duing this period. They are shown on a separate list here.

The words scrolling above are the personal inscriptions placed on the gravestones of North Irish Horsemen by their families.
