The North Irish Horse Guidon
1960 and 2018
A Guidon is a heraldic banner carried by cavalry regiments, the equivalent of the colours borne by regiments of line infantry. It lists the battle and theatre honours won by the regiment.
On 15 May 1960 the North Irish Horse was presented with a Guidon by Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Kent.
On 15 September 2018 a new Guidon was presented reflecting the new status of the North Irish Horse as a squadron of the Scottish and North Irish Yeomanry.
