Private David Moore
The background of this man is not known at present.
David Moore enlisted in the North Irish Horse at Mullingar, County Westmeath on 5 May 1917. He was described as being 5' 5ΒΌ" tall, with a fresh complexion, fair hair and grey eyes. He gave his age as 19, his birthplace as Crumlin, Belfast, and his occupation as a labourer.
Moore (together with recruit Joseph Williams) was reported to have deserted while en route to the regiment's reserve base at Antrim on 7 May 1917. It is not known if he was subsequently apprehended or returned to duty.
