These pages tell the story of the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons Service Squadron, which was raised in the north of Ireland in 1914 as divisional cavalry for the 36th (Ulster) Division. Later in the war it became part of the 2nd North Irish Horse Regiment. Many of its officers and men then served in the 9th Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers after the 2nd NIH Regiment was dismounted and converted to infantry.

If you would like more information on a family member who served in the squadron, please contact me, Phillip Tardif, at: phillipjtardif@gmail.com.
